Jacqueline Priest has guided several groups of interested people through various methods of researching their family history.
This course will run again when there are enough people who wish to make a start on tracing their family history.
Meetings usually last just over an hour, and are held at the Group Leader's house in Torpoint. Courses run for 12 fortnightly sessions. The aim of the sessions is to explore the wealth of information that you can obtain from the internet and to demonstrate how detailed a picture you can build of your ancestors’ lives. As a working example, we will mainly be looking at a branch of my mother’s family from the 20th Century back to the early 1700s. The only cost is the cost of photocopying the materials which are given out at each session (usually £1-£2 per session).
